Happy Thanksgiving I hope you all have a great holiday with your family. Also, I just finished a very, very nice trad barrel racing saddle that I cannot wait to show!

I had an idea to make a hunting season set, and it is bright. After I finished the set I decided to make an endurance number vest, in case I show the set in performance. I am really excited because I am finally getting a head start on traditional scale tack, woo hoo! 2 english saddles in the last week! I want to try western next... I was having so much fun I went out to my [dirt pit] garden, and dug a ditch and took pictures of Misty Mtn. and Lily negotiating it...
Now that is some nice alliteration ya'll! So in yesterday's post, I said I would use those beads to make a western bridle, so walla! Here are some instructions: Cut two pieces of lace, and put the bit of your choice at the end. Now, punch a small hole about 3/4's of an inch above the bit. Take a very thin but long piece of lace and put it through the hole gluing it to the skived side of the leather. Now thread beads on to the other end which comes out of the good side. Punch another hole. Stick the end through and glue it. Repeat on the other cheekpiece. Add buckles. Make a crownpiece. Make your reins, I use my braided cotton. Now all you've got to do is tack up! Take it for a spin! I will be making more to sell, I can't wait to show em.
Prepare for a long post! ;) Meet Glock 42! I think I will show him in performance as an Arabian X POA. Along with him, I finished a handler stick for a doll to use in a performance showmanship scene. Here is the "New Stuff" part, I bought a little box full of beads for a dollar. I am thinking I will use them for western bridles, so there might be a post about that soon... I also bought some elastic for $.50 (computers don't even have cent signs any more?!) (Sorry for the blurry picture!) I love the stitching, I'm going to use this for 5 point breastplates, and the straight ones like this. I also dug out an old dressage saddle and made a nice girth, and then had to try it out! I know its mismatched, oh well I was playing around ok... (I like to think the horse is being cued into the Spanish walk.) I organized mah mini tack room! Made a guard to keep Sparticus from Rose's food... Oh, and it is officially winter because... Bear has started sleeping in a crescent. ;) And it is below 40 degrees here.
