I was going through some older pictures today and I came across these pictures. These are from a few different display cases in the Idaho Potato Museum. When I took these pictures I was still playing with my models and had no idea about the hobby so I didn't give them much thought. Model No. 50 Adios, Famous Standardbred dark bay, tiny star, black points, two hind socks. Sold 1969-1973. You can see his twin's feet on the other side of him too. Shire With Belgian (Who was probably in there somewhere.) semigloss dapple grey, bald face, pink-grey nose and ears, darker grey mane/tail, no dorsal stripe, dark grey knees and hocks, white feathers. Sold 1982-1983 in the Montgomery Ward Holiday Catalog This gal also had a twin, and I think they may even be a chalkys! Model No. 80 Clydesdale Bay, bald face, black mane/tail, four stockings, no black on legs, red and white bobs, red tail ribbon. Sold 1972-1986. Him and his buddy had excellent shading. Model No. 13 Sheik, Arabian Stallion matte bay, star and stripe, black or charcoal-brown mane/tail, no black on legs, four stockings. Sold 1966-1973. There were six of these guys, every one in excellent to mint condition! Behind him also were some Man O Wars that looked pretty good too. Of Saddles I came across these saddles on the same trip, but a few states to the East but still in the West. :) Fort Cody Trading Post Sadly I don't have any information on these saddles... Except that the upper one had to have belonged to a well to do cowboy. I think the lower one may have been a type of cavalry saddle. I hope these pictures were enjoyed!

I have made very little hobby progress in the past few weeks, life can get hectic! But is nice to play around and tack some horses up, so I got the elusive pictures! This red gaming set is designed to be more like the older barrel saddles, with a shallower seat and squarer back. On the "Real Horsey" front: I got some pictures of Darling (the Marsh Tacky) yesterday! Happy Easter! It's a really great title... you'll see why! Double Bridle! I've been having a 2 bridles a day type week :) The title could fit in here too! This one I like almost as much, it is so simple and really brings out the horses face. Props... hmm...
I would like to thank Mrs. Jennifer Buxton of Braymere Custom Tack and her fantastic blog for today's post idea :) Mechanical Hackamore! This piece is so cool, it actually works like the real thing! Close up of the actual hackamore... The second isn't as cool... but it is nice and simple... and has stitch marks :) Looks like the props will wait a while longer XD I'll get around to them I promise!
Photo spam!!! I was finally able to go to the beach! In celebration... here is a sneek peek of the saddle. No i'm not *that* mean, I am so happy with it! I also love my new halter cause it's my favorite colors! I had so much fun today! I hope yall have a great weekend!
